Oklahoma Zips past Akron Highlights
Baker Mayfield:
“I had a bit of the jitters before the game,” Mayfield said after he turned around a slow start to lead the Sooners to a 41-3 blowout of the Zips on Saturday night at Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. “That’s not usual for me.”
Mayfield threw for 388 yards, and with that set an OU record for a season opener. He broke the record of 363 set by Sam Bradford in 2007. Baker Mayfield was named player of the game
