OSU Water Fountain Dyed Maroon With Latex Paint

STILLWATER, Oklahoma –An Oklahoma State University (OSU) fountain is cleaned up after being dyed maroon with latex paint.

OSU officials said Friday there wasn’t any permanent damage done. A police report was filed by the people who discovered it.

Authorities said they are not pursuing any suspects in the matter. It is being chalked up to a prank.

Matt Fletcher, an OSU fan, believes upcoming opponent Missouri State is responsible for the fountain’s color.

“Messing with our fountain is a bold move, Missouri State. Let’s see how that works out for you tomorrow. #okstate,” he said in a tweet posted with a photo of the Edmon Low Library fountain’s maroon water.
