OU reportedly paying Louisiana Tech $975,000 for Saturday’s game

The Oklahoma Sooners will pay Louisiana Tech $975,000 for Saturday’s game in Norman, according to a copy of the contract obtained by the Tulsa World.

Darren Rovell of ESPN.com reported that some other college football powerhouses will be paying even more for their weekend home games.

Michigan will pay Appalachian State (yes, the school that upset the Wolverines at the Big House in 2007) $1 million.

Nebraska will also pay its opponent $1 million: Florida Atlantic.

The Big 12 bargain of the weekend might be Iowa State, which is paying FCS powerhouse North Dakota State $350,000 for visiting Ames.
