Oklahoma’s Saturday home game against Tennessee will be a huge recruiting weekend for the Sooners. Here’s a look at the players who are expected to make official visits.
Plenty of players are expected to make unofficial visits including 2016 quarterbacks Shane Buechele and Jarrett Guarantano, who have both been offered; Midwest City defensive end Demikal Harrison; Missouri City (Texas) cornerback Kendall Sheffield; Broken Arrow offensive lineman Rowby Frederick; Norman North running back Quan Hogan; former OU commit Josh Wariboko-Alali of Casady and his brother Max; and Sooners commits Kenneth Mann, Marquise Overton and Austin Seibert. Another 2016 prospect who is expected to visit is Baltimore St. Frances defensive end Rahshaun Smith.
Pat Allen
OT, 6-4, 285, Reistertown (Md.) Franklin
Allen is a Georgia commit but has visits lined up to Michigan, Tennessee and Arkansas as well before closing his official visits with the Bulldogs in mid-November.
Jamal Danley
OT, 6-5, 305, Olive Branch, Miss. (East Mississippi C.C.)
The four-star tackle could be close to pulling the trigger but also has visits scheduled to Mississippi State and Florida.
Rickey DeBerry
LB, 6-2, 246, Richmond (Va.) Atlee
The four-start outside linebacker will be at Alabama next week and also plans to visit Tennessee and Texas A&M.
Bobby Evans
OT, 6-5, 270, Allen, Texas
Evans, whose brother Tay is a freshman linebacker with the Sooners and whose father played basketball for OU, has been committed since July 2013.
Neville Gallimore
DT, 6-3, 303, St. Catharines, Ontario (Canada Prep Football Academy)
Gallimore’s offers include Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan State, Florida and Florida State among many others. The Sooners already have one Canadian on their roster — offensive lineman Josiah St. John.
Kahlil Haughton
S, 6-1, 178, Waco (Texas) Midway
The Sooners are primarily battling Arkansas, Baylor, Duke and Texas Tech for the three-star prospect.
John Humphrey
WR, 6-0, 160, League City (Texas) Clear Falls
Humphrey originally committed to Baylor but flipped to the Sooners in early August after weeks of speculation.
Keisean Lucier-South
LB, 6-4, 211, Orange (Calif.) Lutheran
The five-star outside linebacker also plans to visit Michigan and Oregon and also has Florida and nearby UCLA high on his list.
P.J. Mbanasor
CB, 6-1, 180, Pflugerville (Texas) Hendrickson
The four-star from the same high school as OU freshman Samaje Perine committed to the Sooners in June.
Cassius Peat
LB, 6-4, 235, Tempe (Ariz.) Corona Del Sol
Tim Kish has the Sooners in the mix for the outside linebacker who is also considering Michigan State, Texas A&M, Oregon, UCLA and hometown Arizona State.
Martinas Rankin
OT, 6-4, 295, Mendenhall, Miss. (Gulf Coast C.C.)
The three-star is expected to graduate at semester and enroll at either OU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Louisville or Kentucky in January.
Justin Reid
S, 6-2, 193, Geismar (La.) Dutchtown
Reid’s brother is former LSU All-American and current San Francisco 49ers star Eric Reid.
Ykili Ross
CB, 6-1, 183, Riverside (Calif.) Poly
The four-star also has visits scheduled to Notre Dame and Miami and is expected to make his announcement at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in January.
Will Sunderland
S, 6-2, 186, Midwest City
The four-star, one of the state’s top recruits this season, plans to visit Ohio State in late November when the Buckeyes host Michigan.
